I am extremely proud to announce the opening of this glorious virtual exhibition of Voice Portraits in the Blue Room: Anthony Fisher, Londinimu!
I worked with Enfield poet Anthony Fisher and I loved turning 37 versions of his poem “Londinium” into different voice portraits. Each language and voice has been transformed into an amazing spectrogram for you to "listen with your eyes".
In the room you can also enjoy “Eagle”, a powerful music by Louis Cennamo (electric bass) Jim McCarty (keyboards/percussion) David Balen (tabla, world percussion) Dugald Brown (Electric Guitar) Recorded 1992
Londinium is a celebration of difference, the strength of diversity, of the 300 languages spoken in London today. London was built by immigrants for immigrants and its first language was Latin together with those of the soldiers of the Roman army.
